Actually it was a sidewalk.

Or I guess maybe a “path”. A sidewalk would be next to a road. This was thru a field, so it’s a path.

The fork was in my own mind anyways, so it doesnt really matter.

I was on my way home from Whole Foods Market, and as the crow flies I should have been at something of a 45 degree angle cutting thru the grass, bearing right.

It’s not like you have to walk on the path.

It wasn’t wet on the grass. Alligators don’t jump up and eat you. The path is more a suggestion that you might as well ignore unless you were walking to that tree in front of the yellow square building.

But they put it there for a reason. If everyone ignored it, we’d have dead grass. (Although then maybe those are the areas where they should lay a path 🤔)

It could’ve gone either way in my mind, but there’s something to be said for going with what’s laid out for you sometimes. So I decided to stay on the path, and then turn right when I get to the end.

An exercise in going with the flow.

But then when I got to the part where it weaved left attempting to lengthen my walk, I called it off and cut thru the grass from there.

I’m still glad I gave the path a try. If you go around looking for every angle at all times you might get burnt, or run out of gas trying. Nothing wrong with following a path and then deviating where you need to.
